Aromatherapy uses essential oils (which are concentrated plant essences) to help with a range of disorders including stress, headaches, insomnia, anxiety, muscular pain, digestive problems, mild depression, menstrual problems and menopausal symptoms.

There are numerous essential oils and each one has distinct therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and analgesic. Some essential oils are known for their stimulant, sedative, euphoric or relaxant properties and each one has a unique character and fragrance. Essential oils you may be familiar with include lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus or chamomile.

Aromatherapists blend essential oils, chosen specifically for each client, into a base oil that is applied through a massage treatment. The therapist can work on specific areas, or the whole body, adapting massage strokes and use of techniques to suit you. Sarah integrates essential oil blends into her advanced clinical massage treatments. Appointments include a consultation with the client.

Professional aromatherapy massage is a safe therapy for all- men, women, children and the elderly. The combination of the massage and the essential oil blend is deeply relaxing and supportive of the body’s natural healing process.
