Cath trained for 3 years at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Warwick studying Five Element Acupuncture. She subsequently studied Gua Sha and cupping therapies to complement the acupuncture. Gua Sha is a therapy to improve natural healing by stimulating areas on the body by rubbing. This affects the skin, muscles and nerves and promotes the flow of qi and blood.

Cupping involves placing special cups on the skin and creating a vacuum. This suction penetrates into the tissues releasing toxins, simulating the lymphatic system and promoting blood flow.

Cath is also trained in Auricular acupuncture which works on points on the ears and is useful in treating substance misuse but can also be helpful as part of treatments for smoking cessation amongst other things.

I really enjoy working with people and joining them on their journey to well-being. When there is a partnership between patient and practitioner and both have the same aim amazing healing can happen.
